I do a ketogenic diet for many reasons, here are some things that are real important for ME, in making this diet effective. 1. High level of ketones 2. Restrict carbs to very low levels, less than 20g. 3. Restrict protein levels to body requirements 4. Restrict fluid intake, this will increase ketone concentration. 5. Eat a SLIGHTLY subcaloric diet. 6. I eat a large percentage of calories from fat, about 70%.

I use MCT’s, (coconut oil) occasionaly, but that stuff is rough on the gut.

What is the point of getting big if you cant fight?. You try to appear more masculine but really aren’t. What a waste of time. Sorry, I just dont see the point, Judo is the ultimate way to be fit and strong and thats final. Look at Fedor Emelianenko (the #1 fighter alive) he is abit chubby, isnt too big at all, and would kill anyone.

Most sources say .5 lb per week which equals about 2 lb a month or 25 lb a year…remember your total weight gains are accompanied by fat gains too.

I stand corrected. Under the BEST possible circumstances the average male body can create between *0.25 and 0.50* pounds of dry muscle tissue per week. That’s the natural amount that your body chemistry will allow. So your looking at 1-2 pounds of dry muscle each month. That equates to 12-24 pounds of muscle yearly. My bad. I keep on learning every day

per year. Don’t get down! Gaining lean body mass takes time and you will gain some fat while doing it. Just adjust your cardio and carbs if you are gaining too much fat along with your muscle gains. Once you’ve added your muscle the right way, it won’t go away.
