everyone should be following a low GI diet. there is a direct correlation between the total glycemic load of the foods consumed in the diet with the level of body fat that a person has. low GI diets will lead to a lean body while high GI diets lead to increased body fat levels.
A low GI diet is mostly intended for diabetics but perhaps it may also help for the prevention of diabetes.
A web search for “glycemic index tables” will tell you which foods have a high GI index (no good for diabetics) and which foods have a low GI index (good for diabetics).
