for my nutrition class i need to bring in a food label for diabetic patients so something that is low in sugar and has low glycemic indices. what kind of food would that be ?
any food that is not a plant derived food!! Jerky would be perfect! low fat, no carb, protien food. also inexpensive!
ANY bread gives me a high spike! does not matter if it is whole wheat, whole grain, or lovely smooth white, it is all the same to my system. Rices the same thing.
If you want to take something that is BAD for diabetics, take a bowl of any kind of cereal and low or no fat milk!! WOW wll that spike my glucose.
Actually you can find any number of foods good for diabetic persons at http://www.mendosa.com this is the original glycemic index. Just look at the GI numbers or the GL numbers and pick something.
