A study shows that consuming foods sweetened with artificial sweeteners actually leads to more weight gain than if one consumes foods with regular sugar. I want to also add even though it is not mentioned in this video that aspartame which is present in many artificial sweeteners is a carcinogen (it causes cancer). I am in agreement that conventional white sugar is unhealthy (although not as unhealthy as artificial sweeteners). One tablespoon of conventional white sugar can weaken the immune system for about four hours. However I recommend for those who are not diabetic to use pure cane sugar or honey to sweeten their foods. Diabetics can use with caution limited amounts of honey to sweeten foods.
